Seriously though if you have a kiddo who loves listening to numbers on their comm device, get out the blocks and start making the amounts! Bonus points for dramatic reactions when the number is inevitably unachievable
Child / young person led therapy is the only way when starting AAC. Sometimes this means doing a LOT of maths even though you have dyscalculia 😂 #speechies#AAC

@NiamhFoySLT Building networks and connecting with other SLTs in a certain specialism can be so hard. I'm always disappointed when someone I wanted to network with has closed themselves off, but equally I value their time and energy so I don't blame them
No one in paeds really talks about how you get exposed to every cough and cold floating around, so many weekends are spent recovering from something ready for the week ahead. My education colleagues definitely acknowledge it more! Any tips other than lots of fluids & vitamins c?

As @AnanyaPaints has illustrated in this beautiful piece for us and @MindCharity, like most things in the universe, Disability Pride can be complicated.
So @CostaCoffee depicted a trans masc person, and transphobes are angry and shouting #BoycottCostaCoffee (obvs). Shockingly to them trans people exist, and might drink coffee. Anyway, as a trans man with similar scars, thank you Costa for the representation 🏳️⚧️

- Are people of color
- Would like to share a 3 to 5-minute story related to having Covid/the rollback of pandemic protections/ navigating medical systems during the pandemic
Hospital employee: “Which do you prefer, confined to a wheelchair or wheelchair-bound?”
Me: “I prefer wheelchair user.”
When I think of being confined or bound, the last thing I think of is my wheelchair. Wheelchair use is freeing. Wheelchair use is mobility.
