For too long, Kirinyaga has been an excellent choir, singing songs written by others.

We sang loudly and passionately. Others developed. From PNU, to TNA, to Jubilee and UDA. We sang, others developed.

The Mau Mau Roads programme came, yet Kirinyaga the home to freedom fighters of great repute was largely left out.

The dual carriageway came close to us. Others drive on the development, we take photos.

That must change.

This time, Kirinyaga will not just be in the choir. We will have a seat at the table.

And we will come to that table with our own charter, our roads, our water, our jobs, our farmers, our young people, The Kirinyaga We Want.

To those who imagine they can slogan Kirinyaga into another political arrangement without first answering what Kirinyaga gets in return, something happened today in Gichugu, A movement was born.

We also said thanks together with Maurice and his family. Maurice you are a good man.

This time, Kirinyaga will sing its own song.
