Apparently people don't know who a Cardinal is and the amount of influence they yield.

Most of these guys have diplomatic passports, have trained at the highest level of philosophy, theology, and a major discipline. They write books, they act as local imprimatur to people who also write. I'm talking big people who write. And above all, people listen to them — Big & important people listen to them.

Korol Wojtyla (John Paul III), as a cardinal was then Polish government enemy number as he opposed a communist Poland. Poland owes whatever it is today, democratically, to him — at least to a large extent. Wait till you hear about Cardinal Stefan Wyszyński, the one who mentored Karol.

Jaime Sin of Philippines literarily tumbled a dictatorship by leading peaceful protests and human barricades of millions of people. His intervention was pivotal in one of the world's most successful nonviolent democratic transitions.

Same with József Mindszenty of Hungary, a fighter against Communist Hungary who was popular with the phrase — communism kills the human identity. They even tortured him, and that led to unrest and protests. There's also Thomas Wosley of England. Maybe a little research on Cardinal Sarah and how he became one of the few national figures willing to challenge Sékou Touré's authoritarian regime publicly in Guinea.

A Cardinal does not engage in partisan politics. It's beneath them. However when it comes to the need to intellectually be at the defense of human rights, youth engagement, poverty eradication, and moral empowerment, they'd never be quiet.

Hello @Tyllaaaaaaa you are an amazing musician with a great personality. I believe. Your stance projects the essence of breaking uncommon grounds no matter where you are from or your color.
