@edusco4 @MoghaluKingsley … people who are ready for change are the structures, not the thugs, not the cabal, not the established parties who are good for nothing, people should be the structure! This should be the truth and it’s high time we told the voters this truth! Change what ain’t working.

@officialABAT Nice 👍 one

[Bola Ahmed Tinubu @officialABAT]

Earlier today, at the State House, I launched the Expatriate Employment Levy (EEL) to facilitate home-grown skill retention and technology domestication, aiming to balance employment opportunities between Nigerians and expatriates. The goal is to close wage gaps between expatriates and the Nigerian labour force while increasing employment opportunities for qualified Nigerians in foreign companies operating in the country.

As a government, it is expected that the EEL will improve revenue generation, naturalisation and indigenisation, and we anticipate the employment of more qualified Nigerians by foreign companies operating in this country. My administration seeks a more significant balancing of employment opportunities between Nigerians and expatriates and the closure of the wage gap between expatriates and the Nigerian labour force by making it more attractive to hire Nigerians.

I declare my support for the Expatriate Employment Levy scheme and will continue to encourage the operators, practitioners of immigration matters and expatriate quotas. Still, I emphasise this to all agencies involved in its implementation: do not use it as a bottleneck; do not use it as an obstacle to frustrate potential investors. This initiative should not be used as an impediment nor as a cudgel wielded to discourage foreign investors.

I expect there will be clear lines of implementation and effective acceleration of the aims and objectives of this programme. Officials in charge of immigration matters, expatriate quotas, and relevant stakeholders are effectively guided to make Nigeria the focus of the aim of this EEL.

Fellow Nigerians, we might be going through a difficult period now. Still, when you look at the Infrastructure Concession Regulatory Commission (ICRC), the Federal Ministries of Finance, Budget and National Planning, and the people manning the ship of this country, including the Central Bank of Nigeria, they have collaborated. In the spirit of development and progress, we are glad that reasonable effort is being made to re-engineer the country's finances and make growth our hallmark.

Nigeria will succeed.

Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR
President

@TheNationNews … they are the ones perpetrating this evil that they are marauding as kidnapping. They are part of the conduits.

@MoghaluKingsley It’s so true

[babashola @babashola8]

@renoomokri You’re talking nonsense

[babashola @babashola8]

@TheNationNews Arresting them will be a double jeopardy for these lots cos you were not there to help them in changing their lives for the better but you can be an harbinger of change by taking those children off the streets and not jailing their parents. That would make more sense!

[babashola @babashola8]

@DailyPostNGR … to who?

[babashola @babashola8]

@omoluabiyoruba … and you call yourself Omoliabi? Who have you that acronym?

[babashola @babashola8]

@nigeriantribune … are these policemen remanded in kirikiri for this extra judicial act?

[babashola @babashola8]

@GuardianNigeria … you’re just giving the police undue advantage over the citizens. The police are only to main law and order and protect life and property , not checking your phones and dropping/ planting evidence in your car

[babashola @babashola8]

@GuardianNigeria … but FRSC by law are supposed to stay on federal roads, why their incursions into roads that are not federal now?

[babashola @babashola8]

@vanguardngrnews … and did your Buhari do in his regime? Or do you guys think that we will forget what was done to other tribes by the North?

[babashola @babashola8]

@daily_trust Greek gift 🎁 , be careful.

[babashola @babashola8]
