"It's called Kubernetes, and Joe, get this, it'll fix basically all of our problems. I haven't dealt with it myself, but I did read about it in CIO magazine and immediately told all our developers to start migrating. Apparently you just give it a container and it handles everything for you. You don't need to worry about security or scaling or anything else."

[Dominic Lindsay @babbleshack]

@Afzal4Gorton why didn't you vote for the privileges committee report?

[The Mehdi Hasan Show @MehdiHasanShow]

.@PeterHotez responds to being asked to debate anti-vaxxer RFK Jr.

"Anti-vaccine disinformation...is now a lethal force in the United States. I offered to go on Joe Rogan but not to turn it into the Jerry Springer show with having RFK Jr. on."

#virginmemdia just upgraded my upload bandwidth which is great.

Now I only wish they would give me a static ipv6 address I could make full use of those extra bytes.

[Dominic Lindsay @babbleshack]

@timClicks I started programming at college around 2015, I went to do a four year degree and then worked on a PhD for 5 years. I have been in the industry for about 2 years, only recently (this year) have I begun to feel like a capable 'software engineer'!

Lesson: never stop learning!

[Dominic Lindsay @babbleshack]

On the train two people mentioned they used chatgpt and edited it responwe. On another assignment they had paid somebody to do the work. They were commenting on how they did so much better than their peers.

I am certain they will regret those marks in the future!

[Dominic Lindsay @babbleshack]

@AndyBurnhamGM Are there any maps of proposed bike lanes?

[Ash Sarkar @AyoCaesar]

It's incredible that David Baddiel can say 'Jews Don't Count' with a straight face, that people take that thesis seriously, when his own career is testament to the fact that having a record antiblack racism isn't necessarily a barrier to success.

@virginmedia You should really think about enabling IPv6 https://t.co/QTmOum9QrV

This is one of the most in depth blog series I've ever read about networking on Linux. A bit old now but still 🔥

Everything from physical NIC registration to how data moves from userland<->kernel and beyond.

Here's exactly what Macron just said replying to the Truss "friend or foe" comment (my Eng subtitles 👇)

(although I think his silence and look when asked the question says it all 😀👇)

[Dominic Lindsay @babbleshack]

@talyn256 Worth every penny

[Alex Ellis @alexellisuk]

"arkade system install" has landed with Go, Prometheus, containerd, Firecracker and the CNI plugins

Run it on your Linux workstation, VPS, RPi or in a CI workflow.

@Yeungy1212 I was thinking this about aws the other day. Almost everything is rebuilding the wheel. ALB=layer 7 load balancer, security group=firewall. Even elasticsesrch is forked and offered as a service!
