@julesmchamish@WiseyCabby@DCMS I presume the snake only goes as far as the w3w location they are giving out, so there is still a lot of park for people to mill about before the queue reopens.
They just need to hope that people do stop going to the park for the next few hours.
Large numbers of people are still joining thousands already in the queue at Southwark Park, with crowds entering the park from at least two gates. Police here say they have not yet been told to close the park or the end of the queue #QueueForTheQueen
@pjburrage@BBCBreaking Yes, not quite sure how this works in practice. I guess if they make the zigzag at Southwark Park the only place to get the wristbands then that is where you'll need to be when it reopens?
Back of the queue does appear to be extending into Southwark Park now according to official feed. Anyone in the park zigzag right now?

#QueueForTheQueen
@julesmchamish@MrsBargain It is odd, we just had a new update, allegedly we're now into the park but I think realistically when people arrive at the back they are just walking about a half a mile before reaching an actual static queue
Queue is growing quite quickly right now. Think it might reach Southwark Park this evening. Not sure what happens then, do you have to queue for the queue?
#QueueForTheQueen#BackOfTheQueue
@julesmchamish Now very close to Southwark Park. Do you think the mileage will max out at 5 even if they are zigzagging through the park?

@MrsBargain Looks like it might reach the park in the next half hour or so, although this might just be a brief post work surge and queue will shorten again soon.
@lynseyabernethy@QE2Queue Thanks for that update. The queue has grown really quickly in the past hour according to the tracker, good to hear things are quite spread out at that point
/28 Its what you've all been waiting for - a chart showing the entire length of the #QueueForTheQueen by time of day, INCLUDING LANDMARKS.
At 17:00 today, the end of the queue was 4.2 miles, between Mill St & Chambers St.
At 02:00 this morning, the end was at HMS Belfast!
@samcgui76 Thanks for the updates! I know people will really appreciate it.
I've heard that zigzag by parliament can take 2-3 hours, but some conflicting reports.
So currently 2 hours from Providence Square (still the rough area of the back of the queue) to Blackfriars Bridge.
I have seen suggestions of the wait from Blackfriars being around 6 hours. (under 5 hours this morning https://t.co/hHu7QazLlQ)
