@JaneAllman14137@VictoriaHa50399@NickTenconi Whether we're part of that particular pact is irrelevant. Once in Europe many will head for the UK because we have the most unbelievably generous and accessible benefits system for migrants. Our government is taking us for fools.
@oldishbird1@russellquirk@marsman1258 Yes the birth rate is declining but some of that has already been factored in & provision has also reduced over recent years. This year there are more children needing to be educated in the state sector.
@MattyBro812@IvorSmittens@LeoKearse It beggars belief. The Police officers chose to prioritise someone complaining about hurty words & a bruise, over someone lying motionless on the ground, clearly in pain and saying he couldn't breath.
@Free_ByTheSea@AllisonPearson@SteveRo21318151 Isn't it part of our constitution that a government cannot be bound by the decisions of its predecessors ?
I certainly hope that's the case.
@jjsmith1245 I originally thought I would retire at 60 but ended up working until 65. I had an extra 5 years of earnings and consequently a higher pension. I was lucky to be fit & able and I enjoyed my job & the company of my workmates. For me it was a good thing.
