PLAYERS:
If your team was filled with people who . . .
✔️ Were exactly like you
✔️ Had the same drive as you
✔️ Worked like you
✔️ Cared like you
✔️ Served like you
. . . would your team be BETTER or WORSE?
@hypersoccerdad Unfortunately there are a ton of those stories out there. Some coaches abuse kids, parents won't press charges and thus Safesport doesn't pick it up. Seen it happen.
Absolutely horrendous!! Please parents and players research your coaches!!!! Ask about their resumes, as about any and all complaints against them. You never know who is hired to coach your kids!!
It's nearly impossible to raise standards, expectations, or achievement w/o first raising morale. Morale has to be the priority. It drives success by increasing productivity, engagement, attention to detail, commitment and it helps reduce disengagement and turnover.
So the @chicagoredstars announced their acting Head Coach... worked for the Red Stars for several years...Who also works for Eclipse Soccer Club that Rory Dames owns/ran?
Nobody in the organization sees a problem with this?
Come on.
When a college page looking for recruits retweets things like this for their page… Would you as a parent trust this coach/school?? #notverychristian#suspicious#redflagvibes

#CSTruth To those reading, yes the coach was fired within a week of the team survey.
@ImCollegeSoccer heard some deplorable things coaches have said about players from my kids. Coaches need to remember they’re in a position of power & to wield it wisely. Actions have consequences sometimes unseen. Parents can be just as bad. Coaches should help not hinder growth
Definitely and to add to this as I have seen it with my own eyes pregame speeches should not include belittling your starting lineup and then expecting them to have a positive mindset for the game.
COACHES: Your pregame speech shouldn't contain new information. If it's important enough to include in a pregame speech, then it is important enough to emphasize every day in practice. You get what you emphasize daily. Pregame speeches should be reminders.

Reading the stories of victims all day today, what they have had to deal with... all at the hands of coaches.
How many lives have been affected by this abuse? How many years of trauma has had to be overcome...
