🚨🔪 HUGE CAST ANNOUNCEMENT...AND We're Looking For a Composer! 🔪🩸
We're beyond excited to announce that David Howard Thornton is joining SLASHER TRASH: THE ULTIMATE SLASHER DOCUMENTARY! 🤡🪓
Best known for portraying Art the Clown in the TERRIFIER franchise, David has brought to life a character who is arguably the biggest slasher icon to emerge since Ghostface first carved his way onto screens 30 years ago, introducing a new generation of horror fans to stalk-and-slash. 💀
Slasher fans will no doubt be eager to hear David's thoughts on the sub-genre and discover the films, characters and moments that shaped the man behind one of modern horror's most recognisable killers.

Planet Terror (2007) required Rose McGowan to train extensively with the film’s weaponized prosthetic leg so she could perform many of the action sequences herself and fully sell the grindhouse insanity.
RIP to the great Clarence Carter. Here’s what William Friedkin told me at the Harvard Film Archive in 2014 when I asked him about ending KILLER JOE with “Strokin’.”
Clearly John Sayles has seen the responses to Boards of Canada returning after a 13 year hiatus and felt it was the perfect time for his return as well
Rest in peace to Jonathan Tiersten, forever remembered by horror fans as Ricky in ‘SLEEPAWAY CAMP.’
Tiersten’s passing was announced by family this week. He was 60 years old.

It’s interesting to me that AMERICAN GIGOLO, while realizes in February 1980 was shot in 1979 sets the template for what would be known as the ‘80s neon noir aesthetic—Armani suiting, neon, Venetian blinds, grey & red color pallate, etc. Is it the first “‘80s movie?”
Don Coscarelli's PHANTASM was released on this day, in 1979.
My interview with Reggie can be found in THE FINAL SCREAM, but more importantly, his GoFundMe link can be found below: ❤️

Now here's a terrific appreciation of Chuck Norris, who I've been a fan of since seeing A FORCE OF ONE at a drive-in theater in '79. Hopefully one of LA's rep cinemas will program a Norris tribute series in the near future. https://t.co/BONZtVleTi
Anyone who had the privilege to work with Jamie will tell you he was one of the nicest human beings you would ever want to meet.
Humble, selfless, and beyond generous in nature.
Watch his films, listen to his music, keep his wonderful work alive.
RIP, Jamie. Thank you. ❤️
@Firstscreamto I am sorry for the loss of your dear friend, Adrian. On top of being a talented filmmaker, he seemed to be a truly kind man. I'm watching his favorite film, THE FOG, tonight.
