@forces_at_work The thing about MLs is that their program has failed, so to hang onto it they have to fall back on the inevitability of change to justify doing the same thing again, and to be fair conditions do change but they fail to see the ways that their revolution undermined itself.

@forces_at_work It worked for Marx because he could posit a particular way capitalism would undermine itself over time, or maybe multiple different ways which marxists like to argue about. And even if you accept that I don't know how widely applicable it is as a methodology.

@forces_at_work It does kind of boil down to "things change", which doesn't mean a lot by itself because the change could be like the heat death of the universe, so it depends whether capitalism is undermining it's own conditions but I don't know if you need the philosophy.
