amethysts are well.. beefy, with larger fangs with nerves in them to locate pulse points on preys neck, similar to tigers. Having larger fingers and toes to keep better grip on rocky surfaces, with extremely rough sandpaper like pads, claws more made for grip and digging than—
Defense, I think they’d have a large patch of hair running down their spine that poofs up like aardwolves when upset, CG has hers up all the time to look edgy. They’re most definitely more mammalian and acute to big cats although. So there’s not much to say
@MelissaTitanium That MAKES SO MUCH SENSE TOO I always just imagined them using their teeth or claws to cut away at the wires,, but my peridots are a little less homeworld focused LOL
Crystal gems peridot.. I think they’d be transmasc, they/them mainly.. BUT feature wise definitely sharper rear facing teeth, antennae made to pick up vibrations mainly produced by homeworld ships. Prehensile tail to speed up work, and small sensory hairs on hands;like spiders—
I don’t have too many ideas for the rest of the crystal gems I apologize, it’s still something I’m researching to see what best fits them LOL I mainly start with fan favorites to attract people

They wouldn’t be able to form English words very well, or any.. human languages very well, while I know they shapeshift this is primarily going off of my au unfortunately looks around
Features, maybe some rudders so they’d be able to shift quickly underwater, spines.. perchance. But I adore the idea of them having a tail similar to whales!! And nictitating membranes .. gills aswell to remove water while feeding
I do quite enjoy the idea of their skin being able to morph and change similar to cuttlefish, but it’s a little much. An idea I love to entertain is them having beaks and conjoined teeth to be able to break into clams, oysters and crab shells. Obviously they’d have webbed—
