@mrjamesob Lee Anderson was wearing a live microphone while he phoned his friend to set up a fake encounter to impress a journalist. “Make out you know who I am… you know I’m the candidate, but not a friend, alright?” He was recorded saying what his mate should say during the interview.

It’s easy to mock. And if we’d lost, ghouls like Lee Anderson would probably be claiming vindication. But be kind. This poor patriot’s hatred of protests against racism just made him miss the most satisfying England game in decades. (Unless he’s a liar as well.)
