From my limited understanding, socialist leaning party has mainstream media control and got control of the house (S Korea does not have a senate). They then made things very hard for Yoon to operate, so Yoon, in frustration and mistakenly, used martial law. Back fired.

Some say, using internet based media (e.g. YouTube), Yoon is gathering some popular support back. Needed for the reason below.

Supreme Court has 8 judges now (9 is the full court but they have an opening). They have 3 judges leaning Yoon’s party and 5 leaning the other party. They need 6 votes to impeach. The 3rd judge leaning Yoon’s party may be swayed by vox populi. Socialist party wants to ensure they get the vote before going into vote. The timing here seems somewhat arbitrary.

Simultaneously, there are corruption trials for the socialist party leader ongoing and that may result in the tides turning before the Supreme Court trial decision. Most likely next president is the opposition party leader, if Yoon is impeached.

It may be not valid to expect a model with a given architecture and decoding mechanism to have patience/attention better than the human brain. Decoding in transformer may be too constrained and inefficient in computation to properly attend to all the required features. For example, when context is longer, there’s more computation occurring in the attention computation that’s not cached, so that might be allowing the model to account for the repetition of the word feather.
