“In the written submission filed through Advocate Alakh Alok Srivastava, the Petitioners have asserted that the impugned guidelines dated July 6, 2020, directing all Universities to hold final year examinations is violative of Section 12 of the UGC Act“ https://t.co/zOio1fPrVx
The petition is for each and every student across the country, being forced to appear for an examination in an absolutely bizarre judgement of the situation by UGC and non flexibility when it comes to human safety
We believe that academic excellence can’t be judged by 1 examination and for academic excellence, we must calculate the aggregate marks of the past semesters.
Beyond which, if students still feel the need to appear for an examination, they voluntarily may do so post covid.
Today Yuva Sena has filed a writ petition in the Supreme Court with a humble prayer to save lives of lakhs of students, teachers, non teaching staff and their families by asking the UGC to not be stubborn about enforcing examinations when India has crossed the 10 lakh cases mark
Our top priority is to protect the lives and future of the students. We can not force them to appear for the final exam, at a time when COVID-19 spreading rapidly. Don't make this an ego issue.
PCI has directed to conduct the exam on September if situation normalises,if not then this semester exam will be held with the upcoming semester... Will it be possible for students to prepare for both the semesters....
HRD Minister, UGC, and all parties concerned have been stressing that students' safety is of paramount importance. But students continue to disagree with most decisions, and say #cancelallexams. Need to thoroughly check all the anomalies highlighted by the students.
Its my humble request that we cancel all exams
Yes there might be delays, but students are very mentally disturbed right now
How will you produce geniuses in this massive depressing pandemic?
Please in bacho ka socho
ITS MY HUMBLE REQUEST🙏
There is no politics here, PLEASE🙏
i) Going to college for exam.will be highly risky for student's life(ii)Travelling to public buses are very risky
(iii) Social distancing will not be maintained.(iv) All are unaware of the long-term lockdown, all were didn't bring study material
#cancelallexams

HRD Minister @DrRPNishank had in June asked UGC to "revisit" guidelines and make a considerate decision with the health and safety of students in mind. Hope UGC is empathetic towards its students as it comes out with a fresh set of guidelines.
The University Grants Commission (UGC) will release fresh guidelines keeping in view safety of students within 2 days, sources tell me. Read on. @indiatvnews
