Basically the same theme as a few days ago when he told Trump on CNN that "your first problem is China, you should focus on the first problem."

Why is this so stupid? Because it shows that Macron hasn't understood that the world has changed, he's still in that old paradigm of a Cold War style ideological confrontation between the West and a China-Russia bloc.

Which is stunning after what happened these past few days: what more proof does he need to understand that there is NO Western ideological bloc, that we're in a multipolar world now? And that in the current context the last thing he should do is antagonize China, since it's pretty much the only major player with whom Europe could collaborate to have leverage against the United States.

As Singaporean diplomat Kishore Mahbubani recently wrote in a brilliant Foreign Policy article (https://t.co/cY3MOtewnt), fundamentally the only reason for the downturn in EU-China relations is because "the Europeans foolishly believed that a slavish loyalty to American geopolitical priorities would lead to rich geopolitical dividends for them." Why remain faithful to these American geopolitical priorities when doing so has led Europeans to be "kicked in the face."? It makes just about zero sense.

Everyone from Rachel Maddow to Bernie Sanders is freaking out about the Trump administration’s moves toward ending the war in Ukraine. David Hogg, now the vice chair of the DNC, said on Twitter that “If we abandon Ukraine — Poland is next. You know what’s going to be a lot more expensive than finishing this war and forcing Putin out of Ukraine? A third world war and a second Marshall plan.”

These histrionics are as ridiculous as they are depraved. Obviously the war in Ukraine needs to end. Polls say Ukrainians themselves want the war to end. If you want Ukrainians to keep dying in this war against the will of the Ukrainians themselves while you sit safe at home eating snacks and posting on the internet, you’re a monster.

Ukraine and Europe are not invited and will not be asked for their opinion because nothing depends on them.

They have done their job as "useful idiots", and now they can only watch and remain silent.

Zelensky's statements that he will not accept an agreement that does not include Ukraine are ridiculous.

The moment the US stops the delivery of weapons completely, Ukraine will have 2-3 months before it completely collapses.

I've already written a million times that Europe will be the biggest loser from this war, and here we are at that stage.

Europe is officially out of the superpower group.
