Preparing for next month’s Quarantine Backyard Ultra. Marked the occasion of the cancellation of the Outrun Rare Backyard scheduled for today by setting out at 6 am and running 5 laps (6.71 km) on the hour. Somehow, 33.5 kms sounds better than 5 laps.

Completed 8 laps. I think 53.6 kms sounds a lot better than 8 laps though. I can’t wait to tell my grandchildren that I was tied for first place with the elite ultramarathoners in the world for over 7 hours. I am in awe of the athletes who continue. Good luck.
