@EllaBuffalo I definitely think I am impacted by this. Being on Instagram or Snapchat and getting pop up ads about societal issues makes it hard to escape the bias.

@noa_chamberlin This is a super interesting point. I think that people want to believe certain things even if they aren’t true. This is why people gravitate towards fake news because it says what they want to hear. The truth hurts. #uwj201 #306

@Evpall7 I think that these algorithms are beneficial to brands that are being promoted, but that this isn’t beneficial for obtaining new knowledge or widening peoples perspectives. Seeing only what you want to see helps no one. #302
