This summer, Nineveh Rising, Etuti Institute, and Shaqlabad brought an inspiring music program to the children of Shaqlawa, creating an unforgettable experience that celebrated both learning and cultural pride. With the support of Father Anees, who welcomed us into the Christian Education Center, skilled instructors guided young students as they explored their musical talents. The program is teaching students the foundations of music, allowing students to take the next level of classes if interested. This program was more than music—it was about connecting our youth to their heritage and strengthening the community’s cultural roots for years to come. This project was made possible by University of Michigan CASA, thanks to the efforts of the whole team!

Over the past two years, your efforts have helped raise $40,000 gross profit, including an incredible $19,216 raised last year. The funds from this year’s 2024 fundraiser have been allocated to provide microloans for female-owned and operated businesses through Nineveh Finance, directly supporting the economic independence of women in our community. Your contributions will have a lasting impact on Nineveh Rising, Etuti, and the communities we serve.

Your efforts demonstrate a profound sense of loyalty and commitment to your community and culture. We are truly inspired by how you have stepped up to face global challenges and actively contribute to making the world a better place.
