@GraceSpelman Every few months I like to check out the national park incident report sites. Kind of a fascinating decades-long diary https://t.co/VeLQ9EMeiE
Begging people asking for where the news is on any situation to google the local newspaper for the area.
@asheville is Asheville
@theobserver is Charlotte
@newsobserver is Raleigh
@knoxnews is Knoxville

EXTREMELY dont drive drunk, but i cant help but think of how often people do this shit sober because they're impatient and how little infrastructure is in place to protect pedestrians and bicyclists
Former Emory Med student Maddie Giegold passed away 5 days before finishing EM residency. She was the sole breadwinner & we really want to support her husband: that would have been important to her. Here is the gofundme link: https://t.co/R9Sz5fTkK8
#BREAKING: A man accused of leading officers on a high-speed chase in a hijacked Gwinnett County transit bus and killing someone onboard Tuesday afternoon was at the scene of the earlier Peachtree Center shooting and said he witnessed the gunfire. https://t.co/ug1VE04k4s
speaking of mental health - I hope our public transit workers receive some support. thinking specifically of the driver of yesterday's hijacked bus who was forced to drive at gunpoint, and the conductor of the MARTA train who hit and killed someone laying on the tracks last week
My biggest pet peeve about environmentalists is that many will care about 2-3 trees more than the positive impacts of having homes, sidewalks, trains, greenways etc that will take cars off the road and have an actual positive impact on the environment.
As people are piling on @andreforatlanta for backtracking on BeltLine rail, remember that one of his early acts as mayor was to kill the Peachtree complete streets project b/c a rich developer didn't like it. Our transportation mayor has always been about cars.
MARTA is already at the final design stage on this project and set to break ground next year. If @andreforatlanta tries to kill the project at the behest of his wealthy friends, he will have wasted tens of millions of dollars
@kateyrich Nooo I’m so sorry to hear this. I’ve really enjoyed your coverage at VF and especially on Little Gold Men! Looking forward to wherever you end up!
@austinlouisray saw a facebook post once where someone threatened to call the police the next time someone took all the books from the little free library and I just about lost it
This horrifying bill just passed the Georgia House of Reps. It now heads to Gov Kemp. It requires people be held on bail for dozens of new, small-time charges—and criminalizes bail funds (after they bailed out many Cop City protesters, and more.) https://t.co/PRq4WaVWvG
