It is profoundly disturbing to watch you and your party advocate for silencing citizens who participated in a lawful democratic process simply because you disagree with the issue being raised.

It is literally your job to listen to citizens, especially when they are using the very democratic processes established by law to have their voices heard.

This is not even about debating the pros and cons of independence. This is about an organized effort by elected officials to silence citizens from participating in a lawful democratic process, and that should concern everyone.

You do not have to support independence to recognize how dangerous that is. Once governments, political actors, and courts begin deciding which citizen-led issues are acceptable to discuss, democratic participation stops being a right and becomes a permission granted by those in power.

Today it is this petition. Tomorrow it could be any issue the political class finds inconvenient.

Citizens do not hold institutional power. Their voice is their power. And when lawful democratic processes are undermined to prevent citizens from even being heard, public trust in democracy itself begins to collapse.

The 1931 Statute of Westminster reminded “the settlers” of their rights & freedoms.

“On December 11th, 1931 the Statute of Westminster, signed by King George V came into force. By this Statute the King abdicated his sovereign power, transferring it to the people, giving them and the colonies their independence, once again, from Britain & the British Monarchy.”

Canada was again freed from the last vestiges of colonial rule. Freed from “Imperial Authority & the “British Monarchy” having no lawful authority over/or within “Canada” and no lawful authority over any of the inhabitants of any of the provinces.”

The 1931 Statute of Westminster affirmed Queen Victoria’s Declaration - in her will in 1901 - setting 5 colonies free and ending all ties to Britain & the Monarchy.

That meant the people had the sovereign right to affirm their independence and create a constitution and then decide if they wanted to confederate.

The 1931 Statute of Westminster once again ended the role of the Governor General and the Lieutenant Governor since the provinces were declared independent & sovereign.

It was politicians that decided to maintain the ruse but without any approval from Britain.

The PM in Canada appoints his “Governor General” who serves him. He writes her “throne speech” which outlines his political agenda for the next four years.

At no time does the GG have any communication with any monarch except if she wants a vacation in Britain our expense.

Like the Privy Council - the GG serves no real purpose except to promote the false appearance of being ruled by “pomp & circumstance”. A fake king. A fake throne speech announcing the goals of a fake PM.

No king owns the land in Canada. Crown land is public land - provincial & federal land.

The Constitution of 1982 was a fake document promoting the fake concept of Canada deciding to become a constitutional monarchy.

When did Canadians ratify the Constitution? When was the public referendum held? What input did the people have when Pierre Trudeau decided to do a “cut and paste” from the BNA Act 1867 - another huge deception.

Quebec refused to sign the Constitution 1982 and never confederated. The people still need to affirm their independence even though Stephen Harper passed a motion in 2006 affirming that Quebec is an independent nation getting the highest amount - billions in equalization payments.
