I've talked to a number of companies lately that describe themselves as "evangelizing for p5.js" because they use the tool in their paid learning product. While refusing to financially support any of the labor that goes into making it.
Enjoy your fine wine 🍷, but not in a stuck up stuffy way🧐, rather in a wholesome way 😊🍇🧺🥰

freeCodeCamp is a nonprofit unicorn: 1.3 billion minutes of FREE learning in 2020, 60% y/y growth since 2015, and a smaller team than Instagram when it was acquired.
Now they’re scaling the curriculum. Support @freeCodeCamp & I'll match 100%! Here’s why: https://t.co/QfccwB9E5R
@freeCodeCamp is building up their free(!!) Data Science education - such an amazing free resource 💕. I really want to see this materialize, and if you do to, please join me in donating towards the effort: https://t.co/1GZtK1e4ep
I just had a wake-up call, when I saw that @KhanAcademy retired some of its courses due to cost of keeping them up. Kids around the world use Khan Academy for free(!) to supplement their education. I finally set up a recurring donation - please join me! https://t.co/ueoOGn6PCj
@Clockify Thanks for the quick response. Reinstalling didn't help, but managed to get in touch with support over chat -- was told there's some issues with the Windows app, and that the Dev team is working on it. So I'll apply some patience until they resolve it. Good luck dev team! 💪
Last I'll say on #blackintheivory. Just b/cuz a white scholar works on Africa doesn't mean s/he is tolerant of black people. I no longer engage in GN/GS partnerships unless the partners are confirmed anti-racist. Ask your African colleagues about the abusive racists sent to us.
It is very unsettling to witness apologists for slavery in real time. I see them casually tweet excuses for the sale and purchase and horrifying transport of human beings and I think “my God, I thought I *understood* how it happened, but now I *see*”.
If you are, like me, a white person trying to get educated about racial injustice and find out how to act and help the racial justice cause, this is a helpful resource. Do not forget about this topic as soon as hashtags stop trending, make it a daily commitment. #blacklivesmatter
I'm very dark-skinned, even by Ugandan standards and I travel a lot, but the only place I ever feel safe is when I'm in Africa. I love Emirates, but every single transit through Dubai is a nightmare of resolutely ignoring stares, hushed whispers and pointing, sneering adults.
