In the UK the top 10% pay 60%.
In the US the top 10% paid 76% of all federal income taxes!
Now what happens to the tax base when the top 10% relocate?

No, this half-baked temporary softfork does not defend the soul of Bitcoin, it attacks the reliability and stability of Bitcoin as a monetary system. Any serious proposal has to be permanent.
This is a very good step in the right direction for Cardano Governance improvement. A few tough challenges yet to be solved or agreed to, yet the article contnet and output of the workshop looks promising.

I promised you a reading list.
I recommend the old classics, such as The Wealth of Nations, first published a few months before the U.S. Declaration of Independence, or anything by Frédéric Bastiat (1801–1850), originally in French, or Carl Menger’s Grundsätze der Volkswirtschaftslehre (1871), or Philip Wicksteed’s The Common Sense of Political Economy (1910), or Joan Robinson’s Exercises in Economic Analysis (1960) (brilliant, but a strange one; she devolved into a Maoist Marxist).
Also, study the modern classics in what we called at the University of Chicago “price theory.” Below, I list them from most elementary to most advanced.
A somewhat different route to becoming a real economist is to read what is called “Austrian” economics, descended from Carl Menger.
The Chicagoans tend to be more mathematical, the Austrians more philosophical.
Taken together, they teach what is right about a liberal economy.

So proud of our security team! They caught, contained & publicly disclosed an attack unlike anything we've seen before, and did it at record speed.
Also massively grateful to @Zai_org: they shared GLM5.2 as open weights (for free!) with the world and it became a key part of our defense.
This is day one for cybersecurity in the age of agents & we're all learning that secrecy is not the answer & that all defenders (not just a few selected ones) everywhere need more powerful models without restrictions, especially open ones!
Schwachsinn…
There are tokens with real fundamentals - it's just obscured by a lot of other nonsense. We are fixing that for institutional allocators.
Fundamentals matter. That's what gives the S&P 500 credibility and durability, and that's why we created the S&P Pantera Digital Asset Index.
Tokens in this index generated ~$3bn of annualized revenue in the trailing six months, amidst a bear market.
This was more than a year of close collaboration with @SPDJIndices@artemis - incredible partners who will be trustworthy stewards of this index.
