This movie, “The Almajiri” on Prime Video is an interesting movie worth your time.

I have strongly believed that the Almajiri system is one of the major causes of insecurity in the northern part of our dear country and Nigeria at large.

Despite thousands of terrorists being killed every year, the Almajiri system continues to produce vulnerable children who are easily lured into joining terrorist groups.

It has been reported that many of these terrorists are products of the Almajiri system. That is why someone like me will continue to kick against the idea of northern governors sponsoring mass weddings.

When you sponsor weddings for people who cannot afford them, they end up with children they cannot afford to care for. In the end, some of these children become vulnerable to recruitment by terrorist groups.
