The Pakistani forces raided our house ,And it has forcefully taken my uncle ShahJee Sibgatullah a leader of BYC and His younger brother Dr Sanaullah ,and two cousins Dr Aftab and Shams Baloch.
We demand their immediate release .
#StopBalochGenocide
The Human Rights Council of Balochistan unequivocally condemns the enforced disappearance of Sibghatullah Shahji, a prominent leader of the BYC, who was abducted by the forces along with his brother and two nephews from Satellite Town, Quetta.
Since his abduction, the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) has repeatedly raided his residence, subjecting his family to harassment and intimidation. Reports confirm that at least three raids have taken place so far, during which security forces harassed women and children, confiscated phones, and forcibly disappeared Shahji’s brother, Dr. Sanaullah, a lecturer at Makran Medical College, along with his two young nephews—Shams Alam, who recently passed the PSC exam, and Aftab, a medical student at Jinnah Medical College, Karachi. The crackdown on his family is a clear act of collective punishment aimed at silencing his activism.
This escalation follows the unlawful arrests of Bebarg Baloch, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, Sammi Deen Baloch, and hundreds of other BYC members and peaceful protesters. Shahji has been a resolute advocate for justice and human rights, yet the state continues to use brute force to suppress dissent. The entire leadership of BYC is being targeted—not for any crime, but for their unwavering demand for justice.
HRCB warns that this systematic repression will not silence the movement; it will only deepen the crisis. We demand the immediate and unconditional release of all arbitrarily detained BYC leaders and members. We further call upon international human rights organizations to urgently intervene and hold Pakistan accountable for its actions.
As a beneficiary of the EU’s GSP+ trade preferences, Pakistan is obligated to uphold international human rights conventions. However, it continues to violate these commitments with impunity. The European Union and the international community must take immediate action to address Pakistan’s blatant disregard for human rights and its ongoing suppression of peaceful activism.

Shah G Sebghat ullah's son, today's raid, has left a long-lasting negative impact on his memory, the way his father's house was raided and forces entered the house harassed the women his last hope would be a political struggle against all such atrocities.

#Pakistan: We are troubled by reports concerning @MahrangBaloch_ health, PEN Norway once again call on @GovtofPakistan to release her immediately.
We will continue to monitor her situation. We have raised our concern with @NorwayMFA and @NorwayinPak.
Dear Civil Society Friends and Media,
I am writing with deep concern about my sister, who is under immense psychological pressure in prison. Her health has deteriorated dramatically, and she has been sick for the past three days without access to proper medical care.
Last night, she became severely unwell and experienced repeated vomiting. A doctor was finally called this morning, but the delay in medical attention is unacceptable. I fear that she is being deliberately kept in conditions that are worsening her health, and I am deeply concerned that her food may be contaminated.
This morning, I visited the jail to meet her. My sister iqra wasn’t allowed to meet her. I meet her only for a couple of minutes. She looked extremely weak, sick and fragile.
Beside that, Mahrang has repeatedly complained about surveillance cameras, the lack of proper beds, food, and the violation of her rights as a political prisoner.
Despite these hardships, she remains strong in her spirit. But she is sick and we fear for her life. Internet services were shutdown in Quetta today so that we can’t amplify her voice.
I urge you all to continue raising your voices for her and all detained Baloch prisoners.
kind regards,
Nadia, sister of Mahrang

Harassment and persecution of Baloch human rights defenders cannot be tolerated.
I call on the authorities of Pakistan @EmbassyPakBel@amnabaloch4 to immediately release @SammiBaluch, @MahrangBaloch_, Bebarg Zehri and others.
I met Sammi when she received the @FrontLineHRD award for human rights defenders and was inspired by her work with victims and relatives of enforced disappearances in #Balochistan.
Can @BBhuttoZardari explain why the PPP Govt is so compromised and weak in front of Agencies that it cant even allow political prisoners & dissenters visitation rights from family and friends. BYC leader @SammiBaluch is not an under-trial prisoner she has only been detained under MPO by Sindh Govt. The legality of the MPO is questionable as is but to add to the misery of Sammi her Family is being restricted from meeting her. It is Sammi's express right under Section 58 and Rules 771 & 868 of the Sindh Prisons and Corrections Services Act and Rules to have visitation from family, friends and legal Counsels. Today at Central Jail Sammi's family had to protest in order for her mother and sister to be allowed a meeting. The Jail Authorities and Home Department falls under the #PPP Govt. It appears the Establishment has already decided that dissenting voices whether of activists like @MahrangBaloch_ & Sammi or whether journalists like @FarhanGMallick and @awaheedmurad are to be denied their right to liberty and are to spend their Eid imprisoned under frivolous cases and arbitrary detention orders. The aim is to not only emotionally frustrate and exhaust them but also their families. Now by denying them visitation rights and right to receive food and daily essentials the Govt is denying Sammi her right to invioable dignity. PPP has govt in both Balochistan and Sindh. If it does not have the courage to recall the MPO and order the release of political prisoners at least have the decency to treat prisoners in accordance with law.
Press Release: #Pakistan must immediately release detained Baloch human rights defenders, including WHRDs @MahrangBaloch_ & @SammiBaluch, and cease its crackdown on peaceful protesters @PakUN_Geneva

Urgent Appeal: Immediate Attention Needed
I visited my sister, Dr. Mahrang Baloch, today at Hudda Jail, Quetta, as the Balochistan High Court had directed the jail authorities to allow us regular meetings. However, the jail authorities stopped me for three hours, blatantly violating the High Court's order dated 25.03.2025 passed in CP NO. 358/2025.
Mahrang’s life and health are in serious danger as she is being held among dangerous, hardcore criminals. When she resisted this, she was threatened of solitary confinement.
Surveillance cameras have been installed directly in front of her prison cell and washroom, and she is subjected to constant 24-hour monitoring. She has no privacy, even in personal matters, and has reported that her clothing choices are also being observed.
The food provided is extremely unhygienic, and we fear it is contaminated. As a result, both Mahrang and Beebow have fallen ill. Despite this, they are not being treated. They are also not being treated as political prisoners and are being denied basic rights.
In this tough time, I urgently appeal to the legal fraternity of Quetta and human rights organizations to take immediate action to ensure Dr. Mahrang’s and Beebow’s safety and a fair trial.

BYC Central Leader Sammi Deen and Deputy Organizer Lala Wahab Arrested as Police Crack Down on Protest in Karachi
Police Seal Karachi Press Club, Arrest Dozens of Women at BYC Protest
Today, the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) had scheduled a protest in Karachi against state brutality and enforced disappearances. In response, police sealed the Karachi Press Club to prevent the demonstration from taking place. Despite this, protesters, including a large number of women, gathered to voice their demands.
As the protest began, police launched a crackdown, arresting dozens of women, including BYC Central Committee leader Sammi Deen and Deputy Organizer Lala Wahab. This blatant act of repression highlights the state’s continued efforts to silence the oppressed.
