On the occasion of #WorldDiabetesDay today, here is this latest book “Rethinking Diabetes” written by well known American author Gary Taubes, and published by ‘Granta Publications’.

An absorbing account tracing the evolution of medical management strategies of Diabetes Mellitus beginning from early 19th century into the 20th century to the watershed year 1921 when Best and Banting discovered Insulin, through the different landmark studies postulating new regimens from time to time and to the present day concepts revolving around varied experiments with diet.
