@BenB_UBC Well with the Laser Doppler vibrometer the laser travels back into the interferometer where it is measured. We are planning to do our own optical measurements which will use a position sensitive photodiode that collects the laser light!

@Kirsty_Gardner_ The most difficult part was trying to keep it under the height restriction for the measurement system(<50mm). The one thing I would have change would be to make the pillar round. As I learned from the guys at the machine shop, a round base would have been a better fit.
