Let me explain in tech terms why Sui is the only option for an EU stock exchange market to get modernized.

- EBB (Electronic Book Building) flows require sealed-bid auctions and time capsules. Well, timed-release encryption was my PhD topic, and Sui has multiple ways of achieving that today, not just one, think of Nautilus and Seal.

- Obviously, investor bids should be private. Sui offers native and cheap Zero Knowledge Proof verifiers and web tools for proof generation. That made a difference. Yes, a real-world example of confidential amounts, outside of ZCash and payments.

- Jurisdiction-wise, some investors might not be allowed to hold crypto in their balances. But Sui supports sponsored transactions, you can pay someone in fiat to completely delegate the crypto gas part.

- Native multisig and zkLogin are essential for key management and easy onboarding. When modernizing old-school practices, you need secure and simple onboarding, even for folks who still use handwritten signatures.

- Parallel execution and object-based model: yes, Sui is super fast, but Athex also wanted to ensure a future AAA game campaign wouldn’t affect their performance.

- Credibility of founders and chain safety principles: realistically, they can’t use Solana, too memee. The CTO of Athex has to trust the team has experience with large orgs and serious money. Many of us ran services for Meta, Google, Apple and @b1ackd0g created the Move language. Believe me, they 👀 Sam as interacting with a taller next-gen Vitalik.

- ETH L2s? No. Liquidity and non-fragmentation matters. Sui’s DeFi success is a huge factor for onboarding the next generation of traders. They also want to ensure a typical trader or gamer will eventually explore stocks as well.

- As you all know, one of the biggest enemies of local exchanges is Revolut invasion. Today, anyone can buy Apple or Google stock easier than signing up for the Greek stock exchange. We were the first to realize this, and thanks to DeFi and gaming, we’ll open access to external investors, not just locals.

- Solvency proofs? We defined the cryptographic standard for most DEXes. We’re already casually auditing all major firms. It’s only natural they’ll pick Sui’s tech to stay on the safe side.

- Dedicated solution engineering and cryptographer support: the team is so good they can design and audit custom ZK circuits for any logic or institutional needs. This was actually catalytic.

- and where do you store your actual titles and terms pdfs? Warlus for storage and binary transparency.

Congrats to @ATHEX_Group for being in the frontline of innovation, I was happily surprised with them insisting to use a ZK system, they indeed studied before they come to us.
