This week,Sunderland PCNs will reach a key milestone in vaccination uptake. On track to vaccinate our top 4 priority cohorts by end of week. PCNs have got the capacity and the capability to vaccinate at a more rapid pace but we appreciate that vaccine supply remains an issue.
Update and Good News. We start to vaccinate again this weekend across all 6 PCNs in Sunderland having received further vaccine supplies.
All care home residents have been vaccinated and we have started our housebound patients.
If you're 70-79 be ready, you'll be contacted soon.
This is a result of many years of hard work and commitment from our teams and we're looking forward to our #SouthTyneside District Hospital site reaching the same Level 7 HIMSS quality standard as soon as possible π #GlobalDigitalExemplar
1/2. DDOT are still accepting donations for the #NightwearBeforeChristmas appeal. Due 2 the ongoing COVID restrictions @STSFTrust the decision has been made 2 only accept postal donations from outside of the Trust. Staff working on site can drop items off @AlexandraCentre.
I'll be observing the minute's silence at 11am on Tuesday 28 April for workers who've lost their lives. Please join me in thanking and remembering those who have paid the highest price during the #COVID19 pandemic. #NeverForgotten#IWMD20

Disappointed with BBC Breakfast this morning. π
Suggestion was that ALL pts with Covid should be cared for in hospital and that home Rx was a failure of the NHS.
Most pts will have a mild illness and should be NOWHERE near a hospital.
Better reporting please!
