Today, his family is told that Disability Pension will be treated as Income during Taxation.

How low can we go as a nation?

This video needs to become so so viral that the Government needs to reconsider this. In my opinion, anyone who protects our country should have special exemptions from tax. They all pay GST anyway. Just my opinion.

They stay awake so that we can sleep in peace. I hope this voice is heard.

Respected @nsitharamanoffc @narendramodi please listen to the voice of middle class.

1. I neither qualify for subsidies and freebies nor have the luxury as HNI not to be affected by inflation and high taxes. I am that child who does not get pampering as junior in family nor respect of the elder sibling. Basically I do not exist for family head

2. Where government is quick to increase government employees salary on basis of inflation, no one is bothered to increase income tax slab on the same basis. ideally every year exempt slab should go up by inflation figure.

3. PM Aawas Yojana should extend to middle class with salary less than 15 lacs. I cannot keep us with high EMI along with increasing monthly expenditure. I also deserve a decent " my house" in my country.

4. I do not qualify for Ayushmann Bharat. But I also have medical needs and pay for medical insurance for myself and my family while others who do not pay any taxes-enjoy the same for free. To add I pay GST of 18% on the premium. Why no regime has ever considered some free insurance cover or other medical help to us.?

5. I used to get deduction on tuition fees paid, life insurance or my retirement planning. However the same has been taken away in the name of new regime. Request that we get the exemption in the regime or increase the income tax slab to 15 lacs in old regime

6. You are quick to increase taxes may it be tax on dividend income, or increasing LTCG or STCG in name of fiscal deficit. But the same fiscal deficit is invisible when you start Ladli .....Yojana and make direct cash transfers to those sitting at home or waive loans of farmers who do not pay a single Re tax.

Consider exempting LTCG OR STCG exemption limit of 5 lacs

7. I pay taxes but in return get a Thank you every year. No social security or retirement funds by government . My kids do not enjoy reservation. I have to send them abroad for education. Strange enough that interest on education loans are as high as 14%. At the very least give subsidised Education and home loans to tax payers.

8. I am in 3 % of Indians who pay tax. I need to stand out. I need priority passes at airports or other public places. If I am made to feel important ,it is motivating. But opposite is happening. Harassment by tax authorities. You have mentioned that any case which is time bound shall not be opened. However many refunds get adjusted for a tax claim raised ten years back for which I have no files.

This is my hope from #budget 2025. Although from inside I know that nothing above will be considered but a small hope that may be one day someone will think of me.

Respected @nsitharamanoffc you have become a revenue minister increasing taxes anywhere and everywhere possible. GST Tax slab to be increased from 28% to 35%. So a new high slab. Currently cold drinks and cigarettes and clothes. Tomorrow many other products.

Most important was to bring petrol and diesel under GST. But that will hurt the revenues. So get everything from citizens to fund freebies
