“ When i walked out to bat in the IPL, Mahi bhai was behind the stumps and Jaddu bhai was about to bowl. I had decided I’d attack the left arm spinner straight away. But Dhoni made a small gesture , whispered something to jadeja and shifted a fielder slightly. That tiny move shook my confidence.

I suddenly felt that they had a special plan for me. I went from attacking to cautious and that hesitation stayed. I eventually got out to a pacer but I still remember that moment. That’s the silent psychological impact Dhoni creates.
