Weird to update this account since I’ve not used it in ages, I’m feeling a bit heartbroken. I’m stupid for feeling like that because It was never gonna happen but I can’t help but feel like this. I’d like to to cry but I can’t because I’ve basically accepted it.
@BayosHarmonicas And titanic survivors thought the ship has sunk in one piece but we all know now that it broke in two, it’s almost like eye witnesses are unreliable
@yarritsblake@TheMindSeer@BaseNFTMaxi @DiegoSotoPrez5 @Firewatch824 @mattgaetz@elonmusk BAE does have a lot of experience from their work on the F-35 program and just being on of the best defence contractors. I think it’ll probably be a pretty competitive aircraft maybe not the most advanced but that’s why I think I’ll be the first in service
@TheMindSeer@yarritsblake@BaseNFTMaxi @DiegoSotoPrez5 @Firewatch824 @mattgaetz@elonmusk Well they’re on track and already building the test demo aircraft so yeah if anything GCAP is the most likely to even get off the ground
@yarritsblake@BaseNFTMaxi @DiegoSotoPrez5 @Firewatch824 @mattgaetz@elonmusk Well BAE systems helped develop the F-35b and is one of the biggest defence contractors in the world, they will have a test demonstration in I think 2027 with aircraft coming into operation in the 2030s
@LilMang0Vert @TateTheTalisman@elonmusk Well kinda, most navies retired battleships post WW2 only really the US kept them but only to keep up feet numbers
@BaseNFTMaxi @DiegoSotoPrez5 @Firewatch824 @mattgaetz@elonmusk Ehhhh NGAD is gonna be a while the first 6 th gen fighter is likely gonna be the British GCAP (tempest)
#OnThisDay 1941 Battleship HMS BARHAM struck by 3 torpedoes from U-331 in the Mediterranean. She capsizes to port & sinks within 4 mins after a massive explosion. 862 men were killed from a ships company of over 1200. I cannot imagine the terror of those 4 minutes.
HMS Dreadnought passing HMS Victory in Portsmouth Harbour.
In the photograph, Victory is dated as 1805 (battle of Trafalgar) but she was laid down in 1759 & launched in 1765.
HMS Dreadnought was a revolutionary design, sparking an arms race but outdated by WW1.
