Abdul Ghani Baloch, a political activist and M.Phil scholar, was forcibly disappeared by security forces on May 25 while traveling from Quetta to Karachi. He was taken from a passenger coach in Khuzdar, Balochistan. Since that day, his family has received no information about his whereabouts, and the Khuzdar administration has refused to register a First Information Report (FIR) regarding his illegal abduction.
We demand the safe release of Ghani Baloch.

1/2 My cousin,Mahjabeen Baloch, was forcibly disappeared by police and plainclothes officials in the dead of night from the Civil Hospital hostel last night. This is not the first instance of our family being targeted;his brother, Younus was also disappeared by military officials
Fresh law graduate Zakria Baloch, amidst GAT test, abducted from Karachi’s Hazara Goth last night at around 1:10AM. EDs are unethical, illegal and unjustified, yet continue to become state’s foremost institutional policy to abduct Baloch students and masses.

You can detain the bodies, but not the truth.
You can blind the world, but not erase our pain.
You can silence our leaders, but not our resistance.
We demand the immediate release of all BYC leaders.
Their only crime is courage. Their only weapon is truth.

As part of BYC’s ongoing nation-wide protest campaign, a rally was held today in Gaddani, where participants condemned the rising cases of enforced disappearances, extrajudicial killings, and the unlawful detention of Baloch Yakjehti Committee leaders. The protesters demanded the immediate release of Dr. Mahrang Baloch and others, asserting that the Baloch people’s struggle for justice and dignity will not be silenced by force or fear.

⦿ To human rights organizations:
Will you only speak when it’s safe to speak?
To international media:
Will you only cover genocide once it’s complete?
To the UN:
Where is your voice when Baloch lives are snatched in daylight?
Let the world remember:
Peaceful resistance is not a crime.
Demanding justice is not terrorism.
And detaining hope will never extinguish it.
We will keep marching.
We will keep speaking.
And we will keep struggling against Baloch genocide.

⦿ Nearly two months ago, five Baloch voices of peace were thrown behind bars.
Their only crime?
Daring to speak.
Daring to resist.
Daring to hope for a future where Baloch lives are not expendable.
Mahrang Baloch, Sibgatullah Shahji, Bebagr Baloch, Beebow, and Gulzadi Baloch, leaders of the Baloch Yakjehti Committee (BYC) were illegally detained by the Pakistani state.
No due process.
No justice.
Only silence, suppression, and steel.
The detention of these leaders is meant to break the spine of Balochistan’s peaceful resistance.
⦿ Since their arrest, every institution: from the local administration to the judiciary, to the media, has served as an accomplice to state brutality.
Torture.
Psychological warfare.
Delays in court.
A full-spectrum assault not just on our leaders, but on dignity and defiance.
The judiciary, the last refuge of the oppressed, has become a tool of punishment.
Instead of upholding justice, it has weaponized time.
Delaying verdicts.
Stalling hearings.
Allowing torture by silence.
Each delay is another day of sanctioned cruelty.
BYC Leaders are not criminals.
They are students, organizers, and Baloch national leaders.
They walked city to city in a historic long march to demand an end to enforced disappearances and extrajudicial killings.
Their resistance was peaceful, so the state responded with violence.
⦿ The Pakistani state has always feared Baloch voice for truth.
And so, it arrests the truth-bearers.
Mahrang’s strength, Shahji’s clarity, Beebow’s resilience, Bebagr’s fire, Gulzadi’s courage, they cannot be buried behind bars.
Every delayed verdict.
Every lie broadcast on national media
is a brick in the wall of injustice that Balochistan has long lived behind.

Mahrang rose where the ground still smelled of blood.
Not from books, not from dreams,
but from the soil where her father’s blood spelled her name,
from the silence that lingered after boots slammed the door behind them.
She could have stayed.
White coat. Bright ward.
The clean clink of surgical steel.
But how do you stitch wounds
while the land itself is torn open, daily?
How do you save a life,
while your homeland is dying?
Not all rise.
But some do.
And Mahrang
she rose with her grief tucked under her arm
like a worn notebook,
her rage quiet, exact,
the kind only those who’ve lost everything can carry.
Once for her father.
Then for her brother.
Now, for all those lost and never returned.
The courtroom wants her vanished.
The state wants her dissolved,
in time, in silence, in surrender.
But they forget
absence is the first language Mahrang ever learned.
She has buried names inside her like seeds.
She knows how pain flowers.
She knows how to keep going when there is no map.
She is not made of mercy.
She is made of memory,
of fists unclenched and retightened,
of love too wild to be quiet.
Mahrang is the rhythm on a million backs
and every one of them stands when she does.

After Beebow Baloch was transferred to Pashin jail, there were conflicting reports about her health, and she was denied access to her legal team. According to our latest information, she was subjected to severe torture in jail, which led to a serious decline in her health. She was taken to the CMH Hospital and later moved to Huda Jail in Quetta.
Beebow is being brutally punished simply for raising her voice against injustice. Her non-violent protest is being answered with violence. We are gravely concerned about her condition.
It has been more than 42 days since Beebow Baloch, along with Baloch Yakjehti Committee members Mahrang Baloch, Gull Zadi Baloch, Beebagr, and Shah Jee, were detained under a false case filed under 3MPO.
We are alarmed about the continued mistreatment of these activists in custody. We call on national and international human rights organizations to speak out and take urgent action against this state-led repression.
