@GunterFehlinger That is none of your business. What have been the results of your illegal intervention in Somalia, Libya, Iraq, Afghanistan, Ukraine and a host of others? We doné want you, we don't need your assistance. You can't love more than we love ourselves.
@cacnigeria1 is holding businesses to ransom for long here. For months, business owners have been unable to download and print the ordinary Status report needed to open bank accounts and fulfil other requirements, citing an upgrade or an issue with Al. This is unacceptable.
For decades, the script was simple:
Africa drills the oil,
the West refines it,
and Africa buys it back at triple the price, with gratitude. Imagine that!
Now Dangote came with a 650,000-barrel-per-day “plot twist.”
-The first migraine hit when U.S. fuel export numbers started twitching. West Africa, that loyal customer, suddenly said, “No thanks, we’ll refine it at home.” Imagine selling umbrellas in a desert, that’s how America feels right now in the diesel market.
-Then came the second headache, the petrodollar sneeze. If Nigeria starts trading refined products in naira, yuan, or even “AfriPay,” that’s a direct jab at Uncle Sam’s global ATM. The dollar doesn’t like competition; it catches inflation fever when others sneeze independence.
-Third pain: The geopolitical thermometer just went up. Africa’s biggest refinery means fewer oil tankers from Texas, and more from Lagos to Lome, under African control. That’s not energy trade; that’s energy freedom. And freedom, apparently, is bad for business.
-Fourth dose: The U.S. isn’t happy seeing Nigeria shaking hands with China and India on refinery deals. It’s like watching your ex build a mansion with your rival. The refinery runs on Chinese funding and Indian technology, two things America used to monopolize.
-And finally, the fifth and deadliest headache, the symbolism.
Dangote didn’t just build a refinery; he built a mirror, showing Africa what it could’ve been decades ago if it stopped outsourcing its future.
Now Washington can’t just send “economic advisers” and “development loans” with fancy conditions anymore. Africa might soon say, “Thanks, but we’ve got this.”
So Dangote’s refinery isn’t just refining oil, it’s refining pride, power, and perspective.
And for the first time, the biggest gas leak in the room isn’t from Nigeria, it’s from America’s nerves.

Most of you supporting this so called “Christian Agenda” because you don’t like Tinubu, I want to tell you what you don’t know, you are giving the west what they desperately need, “A Reason” to destabilize Nigeria. If you think this is the kind of politics you want to play, think again......
If this goes bad it means there will be ‘a reason’ to no longer be supply us necessary ammunitions to fight insurgents they sent to Nigeria, which automatically means if they are killing 2,000 innocent people now, it will be atleast 10,000 when we don’t have weapons to fight back, Nigerians both muslims and christians will be killed more. When we weaken our supply lines, when we provide an excuse for foreign powers to step in, we create the conditions for escalation.
Before you know, they will send their troops into Nigeria in the name of “trying to help”, further cause more commotion, in no time Nigeria will be a failed state, then boom we are another Sudan, Libya or Syria, you won’t have a country to call your own simply because you don’t like who is the president now..
Foreign interests rarely act out of selflessness, they act where there is advantage, whether strategic access, natural resources, or geopolitical positioning. Giving them “a reason” is handing them permission to meddle, to back groups, to choke logistics, to turn local grievances into international crises. Politics is not a game you play with the country as the stake.
I will pick Tinubu over the West 1000 times. I would rather live with a president I disagree with than hand my country to outsiders who will strip us of everything.
If you truly care about Nigerians both muslims and christians, if you really love this country, then think beyond party, beyond grievance, and refuse to be the pretext for our destruction.
