Here's every question Craig Albernaz was asked about Pete Alonso's calf tonight:
Question: Is Pete Alonso OK?
Craig Albernaz: “Yeah, precautionary. Game state, get him off his feet. Obviously, he was dealing with his calf, so there was no point to push him there, and we had the guys to go mix and match with Sammy going to first and to get Narvy in behind the plate.”
Question: Is this the same calf that was bothering him in Tampa?
Albernaz: “I didn’t say anything was bothering him. Just said, ‘Took him off his feet because of the Tampa outing.’”
Question: So nothing's bothering him?
Albernaz: “Please don’t put words in my mouth. Thank you.”
“Daniel Faalele being bad in front of Lamar was fixable in your opinion because of Lamar. But now you don’t have Lamar, so now you gotta coach.”
“You’ve said, ‘Let’s win because of Lamar.’ Your job was on the line… Lamar saves your job.”
“Everything you did was built on Lamar will fix it.”
“Now you gotta make football decisions. If you made those decisions when you were here, how much better could we have been?”

Pete Alonso on his effort:
"I leave it all out there every single night for better, for worse. It's an honor and a blessing to put on a big league uniform every single day and go out there. So for me, what other option? There is no other option. I just want to play hard, play winning baseball, and for me, I don't care how it looks. I just want to get it done."
Rashod Bateman and Ronnie Stanley were both asked about the differences between the current coaching staff and previous one.
"Everybody harps on the details," Bateman said. "That's not what we've had here."
Stanley agreed: "(Minter) just values the finer details."
Triple-A Norfolk LHP Luis De León (Orioles' No. 7 prospect per @MLBPipeline) is being shortened up to prepare him for a Major League bullpen role so he can potentially help the big league club down the stretch.
@benlikessport Certainly we should compare the H2H matchup in this as well. No chance Player B didn’t beat the absolute breaks off Player A on National TV… 👀
I value playoff success but the second most successful qb in playoff history is number 4? And the guy he’s beaten 4 times in the playoffs in number 3???
Shane Baz’s last 15 starts:
92 IP (avg 6.13/GS)
2.93 ERA
8.02 K/9
2.64 BB/9
0.49 HR/9
He has a 3-7 record in these 15 starts.
The Orioles are 4-11 in these 15 starts.
Shameful. Embarrassing for the Orioles.
