I received a phone call today by someone claiming to be from the military, the person sent me my excise sheet and footage from the motorway toll plaza of my vehicle entering the highway. He claimed that I had passed his vehcile while over speeding and that he had barely survived the crash after I had sped away. He demanded a compensation of 1.2 million. The only fact is that the date he mentioned I was out of the country. I told him to share his particulars, he then named a senior military official, claiming to be his nephew. And that he would have me picked up.
Regardless that this was scam to extort money, I understand that it’s not difficult to get details of vehicles or assets, but how come he managed to retrieve the camera footage from a motorway toll plaza, which is basically surveillance footage controlled by the government. Is the system that compromised that our data is so easily available to anyone who can buy it? Are criminals now operating in tandem with networks deep within our surveillance system? Is there any accountability at any level?

This did not happen. As a result, the country is still in stability phase and the government is set to inflict more pain by exposing people to imported inflation. اس مرتبہ بھی پروفسیر صاحب نے آکسفورڈ کے علاقے سمر ٹاؤن میں واقع اپنے گھر پر ایک نشست رکھی جس میں بڑی پرمغز گفتگو ہوئی۔ پاکستانی سیاست، تاریخ اور یورپ میں مسلمانوں کے مسائل پر سیر حاصل گفتگو ہوئی اور بہت کچھ سیکھنے کا موقع ملا۔
اس نشست میں بی بی سی کے سنئیر پروڈیوسر عمر آفریدی صاحب، آکسفورڈ میں مقیم پنجابی شاعر ایوب سنگیا صاحب اور بشیر صاحب بھی شریک تھے۔

While the EU invites the Taliban to Brussels in the name of engagement, my friend @TheHaroonRashid and I met an Afghans girl activist hiding from Pakistani police near Islamabad in extreme mental stress and anxiety , but
She refuses to be deported, saying she will not return to a Taliban-controlled Afghanistan , because ultimately means i endorsees or legitimise a regime that systematically denies women their fundamental rights.
She has a case ID with Canadian High Commission in Islamabad (@CanHCPakistan) but the process is slow .
Pakistan should consider granting temporary documented status “ living in a specific sector or area “ to Afghan women, human rights defenders, and other at-risk individual instead of forcibly deporting them.

Protecting vulnerable and those Afghan persecuted by Taliabn are world shared humanitarian responsibility.

#stand with those who oppose oppression and defend human rights in Afghanistan.

پیٹرول/ڈیزل/تیل کمپنیوں نے خبریں چلوائی کہ حکومت نے گزشتہ ہفتے تیل کی قیمتوں میں کمی کا جو فیصلہ کیا تھا وہ یکطرفہ اور قائم شدہ عمل سے متضاد تھا جس سے تیل کمپنیوں کا بہت زیادہ نقصان ہوا ہے۔ مارکیٹنگ کمپنیوں کے ایک نامعلوم عہدیدار کی جانب سے میڈیا میں یہ بیان جون 22 کو جاری کیا گیا تھا جب اس ہفتے کے لئے قیمتوں کے اعلان کی تیاری ہورہی تھی۔ کئی وزراء نے تیل کی قیمتوں میں کمی کا عندیہ دیا تھا کیونکہ عالمی مارکیٹ میں قیمتیں مسلسل کم ہورہی ہیں۔ لیکن کل قیمتیں کم نہ کرنے سے لوگ مایوس ہوئے ہیں۔ ہر شعبے میں مافیا بہت مظبوط ہے اور فیصلوں پر ان کا اثر ہوتا ہے۔ جب عوام تیل کی قیمتوں میں اضافے پر احتجاج کرتے ہیں جب تیل کی کمپنیاں خوش ہوتے ہیں تو جب ابھی عالمی مارکیٹ میں تیل کی قیمتیں کم ہوئی ہیں تو ان کو اعتراض کیوں؟
