🚨 Many female students were brutally attacked by armed Chhatra League goons, the student wing of ruling Awami League in #Bangladesh.

At least 6 students have been killed so far by police and Chhatra League goons and over 400 have been injured.

Students have been protesting against job quotas for coveted government jobs. The quota system reserves more than half of well-paid government jobs, for specific groups.

Critics say the system benefits children of pro-government groups who back Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Kalki 2898 AD. What. A. Movie.

Writing from the heart. As a huge Mahabaratha fan, I got invested on to the movie in the first second itself.

The first frame starts off with the dialogue, 'ASHWATHAMA, HATHAHA.. KUNJARAHA'

If you have read Mahabaratha, you'll know the COLOSSAL SIGNIFICANCE of this dialogue.

Incredible world building.

Even though there are a lot of rehashes of worlds we have already seen, like,

Supreme Yaskin as Lord Voldemort
Shambala as Hogwarts with a Platform 9 3⁄4 level entry into that world
Ashwathamma as Lord Raiden from Mortal Kombat
Deepika as Daenerys Stormborn, the mother of Dragons
Dystopian setting like Madmax: Fury Road
People looking like they were from the Star Wars Universe

All of this didn't bother me one bit, because it all fits into the narrative. I do get why people saying they didn't like the first half, I see where they are coming from, yes it could have been 10-15 mins crisper, but I didn't mind it too much.

BUT WHAT WAS THAT INTERVAL BLOCK & WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT SECOND HALF!

And man, when Ashwathamma says only my brother could touch the Gandeeva, I was confused. Cos I knew Arjun wields the Gandeeva & Ashwathamma was the only son of Drona. I was wondering if forgot Mahabaratha & was waiting to see who could that brother possibly be.

And man when it does get revealed, GOOSEBUMPS ALL OVER for the GREATEST WARRIOR IN HISTORY.

The mass elevation of Karna shown to us through the dialogue exchange between Krishna & Arjuna (I'm definitely not a fan of Krishna's methods to win the war) is.. O. M. G 🔥

Amithabh as Ashwathamma nailed it 👌🏻
Prabhas as Bhairava, the laidback selfish bounty hunter who goes on to become who he is. Outstanding character arc again 🔥
Deepika nailing it as Daenerys aka Sumathi

AND. AND. AND. AND. WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT CLIMAX.. TEASING US WITH PART II. Aandavar as Supreme Yaskin, padathla 3 mins vandhaalum WHAT IMPACT MAN! And after he applies the serum & attains human form, he becomes an ABSOLUTE UNIT like Aalavandhan Nandhu, uttering the iconic lines:

'Jagannatha Ratha Chakralo, Vasthunnai, Vasthunnai. Ratha Chakra Pralaya Gosham, Bhoomakam Pattisthaanu. Bhookampam Puttisthaanu. Bhookampam Puttisthaanu. Buhahaha'

I LOST IT THERE.
