To all the Ministers and Public Representatives who use large Convoys . My appeal to reduce public expenditure and conserve Fuel and reduce wastage .

As we are all aware, the hon Prime Minister has recently appealed to citizens to reduce their consumption of petrol and diesel due to the current global economic situation. In line with this appeal, we urge you to lead by example and reduce the size of your convoys to a single vehicle.

This simple yet effective measure can significantly contribute to fuel conservation and set a positive precedent for others to follow. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation in this matter.

VIDEO | Mumbai: Shiv Sena spokesperson Shaina NC on the Women’s Reservation Bill says, “Every woman, across political parties, must ensure that their party supports the Women’s Reservation Bill. Currently, women’s representation in the Lok Sabha is only around 13-14 per cent, about 74 out of 543 members. In state assemblies, it is not even 10 per cent. This 33 per cent Nari Shakti Vandan provision empowers women and gives us a real opportunity. Party-level quotas and support structures like finance, security and anti-harassment measures can continue, but at the grassroots level, just like in Panchayati Raj institutions, where 1.4 million women have been empowered, we must replicate this at the national level. I thank Prime Minister Modi for ensuring that women get dignity and representation in both Parliament and state assemblies.”
