On 19.06.2026, @IndiaatUNESCO formally submitted Rangpur-Sivasagar Ensemble- capital of the Ahom dynasty that ruled the Brahmaputra Valley unbroken for six centuries - for UNESCO World Heritage status under criteria (iii) & (iv).

This historic complex houses Assam’s finest Ahom temples, palaces, water tanks and engineering marvels - including Rang Ghar, Asia’s oldest surviving amphitheatre.

This builds on the landmark 2024 UNESCO recognition of the Charaideo Moidams- together, the two sites complete the Ahom story: where the dynasty rests, and where it ruled.

Man went to buy shoes from a Red Tape store and purchased items worth ₹4,713.

He asked for carry bags. The company refused to provide carry bags for free, citing company policy.

He was charged an extra ₹30 for three carry bags.

He then went to consumer court, filed a case, and won.

The court ordered Red Tape to pay:
- ₹30 for the three carry bags, with 9% annual interest.
- ₹15,000 as compensation for mental harassment, pain, and agony.
- ₹11,000 towards litigation expenses.

The amount must be paid within 45 days. If not, an additional 12% annual interest will apply.

SHOCKING | On August 17, a wild elephant named Durga died in a tea garden in Numaligarh after medical negligence.

Today, we found out, DURGA WAS PREGNANT.

Forest Department’s Medical Negligence KILLED not one, but two wild elephants.

For three days, Durga was severely ill. He bled with her urine. No doctors or officers from the Forest Department came to treat her.

A doctor from Kaziranga’s CWRC NGO came for a check-up and said the ‘elephant had no major issues’.

How can the doctor not find out that she was pregnant?

The doctor asked for medicine along with jaggery. And just the next day, the elephant with her baby DIED.

No response from the Forest Department or the Forest Minister as of now.
