After reading the paper, I found it very weird that there is no mention of a higher risk of ischemic stroke with LAAC and you need to dig into Supplementary Table 17 to find the impact on ischemic stroke.
Ischemic stroke prevention is the main reason to implant the device in the first place.
It is very unusuall practice of result reporting for such a large-scale trial.
