An outreach programme on the Income Tax Act, 2025, Income Tax Rules, 2026, and TDS-related issues was organised today at DRDO Bhawan by the Directorate of Management & Security (DMS), DRDO.

The programme commenced with an address by Dr. Ravindra Singh, DG (R&M), who highlighted the importance of awareness and compliance with the latest income tax provisions.

The technical sessions were delivered by Ms. Beenu, Additional Commissioner of Income Tax; Shri Y. N. Saxena, Deputy Commissioner of Income Tax; and the team from Aaykar Bhawan, New Delhi who provided detailed insights into the provisions of the Income Tax Act, 2025, Income Tax Rules, 2026, and TDS-related issues while addressing participants' queries.

The interactive sessions enhanced participants understanding of the new tax framework and strengthened statutory compliance among DDOs and PAOs across DRDO. The programme concluded with a Vote of Thanks by the Director DMS.

I am deeply saddened by the tragic accident that occurred today at the Govindapur, Karna Subarna Rail Gate in Berhampore, Murshidabad. My heartfelt condolences go out to the families of those students who lost their lives and to all those affected by this unfortunate incident. I pray for the speedy recovery of the injured.

A thorough and impartial inquiry must be conducted to ascertain the circumstances that led to this accident and to ensure that adequate preventive measures are implemented to avoid such incidents in the future.

I stand in solidarity with the bereaved families during this difficult time and assure them of all possible support and assistance. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and their loved ones.
