@Gatwick_Airport and the lady from one of the Duty Free concessions hogging a power outlet and a table for an hour in Pret. Staff are not paying to use the airport facilities. If they need to work on admin in their breaks, you should provide space away from customer facilities.
@Mehyouthink@wwos Jesus, for a country that made the taunt “Whingeing Poms” an expression of national pride, you boys don’t half bellyache when the boot is on the other foot. You wanted a bit of mongrel and you got it. 2-0. Looking forward to a whitewash next weekend.
@indieloversm@cruillabcn Disappointing to lose an international band like Kaiser Chiefs, whom many in the festival would have travelled to see, while Catalan acts like Love of Lesbian, who are popular here but lack stature elsewhere, keep their slot. I predict a riot…
@jhoppos55@centregoals Can anyone give a clear explanation of why VAR will check certain things to the level of atomic particles, but ignores a blatant obstruction by a City attacker that creates the space for John Stones to score?
@centregoals Apart from the clear obstruction by the other City player manhandling a Liverpool defender out of the way so Stones was in free space. But yeah, otherwise “brilliant” goal, training ground move etc etc.
Why wasn’t this protest broken up and the organisers charged under the new government’s anti-protest laws?
Why does it seem that there is one rule for Extinction Rebellion and another for the Welsh Farmer’s Union? https://t.co/ng4yOVdCTL
@BillAckman You pontificate on (and on and on) about plagiarism, purely on ideological grounds when the fact you could care less is evident in the way you are comically less critical about your wife’s plundering of other authors’ work. Oops. Awkward. Hypocrisy is also shameless.
It’s not Braverman’s fault as you claim, it’s the post Brexit free for all that now exists because Britain is a third country, outside of the EU and therefore the ideal drop off zone for unscrupulous people smugglers. So much for taking back control of our borders. Say that!
@YvetteCooperMP I’m 100% anti Tory, no 1000% but your comments about the Home Sec are largely cobblers and why I DESPAIR of Labour. It’s not the Home Sec who has encouraged small boats, it’s Brexit. Why can’t Labour for God’s sake just come out and criticise Brexit?
But by maintaining this ridiculous posture of ‘Brexit was bad but we’re not going to question it and ideally, avoid talking about whenever we can’ you’re being dishonest with the public.
@KristiNoem@Jason_Aldean Oh FFS. Your party spontaneously combusts over complaints about Jason Aldean and protests that ‘you don’t have to listen to him if you don’t like his song’ and yet the GOP is totally fine with banning books by e.g. D.H. Lawrence because they are deemed offensive. This is idiotic.
@lyndsay_hopkins@AndySkraga@DavidGHFrost And you criticise other people for writing “ridiculous” posts. How exactly will Net Zero make you colder and poorer versus the status quo of doing nothing. Please give us facts, Lyndsay. Fully calculated, credible, cost/benefit analysis, not ‘I think…’ gobbledygook.
@DavidGHFrost Such a stupid post. The direct cost is not being borne by voters in Uxbridge. It’s being borne by billions of people whose lives are becoming tenuous because of climate pollution. The cost is being paid by the planet, not selfish ex-Brexit ministers and their ilk.
@johnredwood Because there are no popular Conservative things. Lower taxes on the wealthy? Nope. Destroy the NHS? Nope again. Trash the economy and create a cost of living crisis? We’ll pass. Drill, baby, drill. Not really the zeitgeist is it? Just keep stabbing each other in the back.
@PickardJE Labour isn’t (for) labour and Conservatives aren’t conservative. In a nutshell, this is why Britain is bust. There is a complete absence of conviction, principle and policy and a complete focus on keeping/grabbing power purely for its own sake.
