Fire on River Road: River Road is currently closed in both directions at the junction with Long Reach Road. Buses EL1, EL2 and EL3 are unaffected when returning to the estate. As it's an ongoing incident, the road is likely to be closed for a number of hours.

The roads aren’t too narrow to stop drivers pulling over even if it means on to a footpath for a few seconds to allow them through. And they can take bus lanes and no entry roads should they need.

The @LFBBarkDag have done a great job. It’s not ideal but I think saving lives and buildings should come above being a little late for work. Roads also just aren’t designed for this much traffic
