@boymonster It's because Tom Bombadil lives nearby, and old Tom is a merry fellow; bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow (hey dol, merry dol, ring a dong dillo, ring a dong, hop along, fal lal the willow, Tom Bom, jolly Tom, Tom Bombadillo)
@JuliaLepetit My partner and I got our sweet pit mix Kaia there six years ago, and, it turns out, she's the best dog in the whole world. But all the other animals at Danville? Also the best.
@JuliaLepetit The Humane Society of Danville, IL, is a non-profit no-kill shelter that operates entirely off of donations. Their wonderful staff and volunteers take great care of a full house of dogs and cats, many of them long-term residents.

@JimVorel A very fine list. I've not seen Shock before, but that simple shot is so effective.
Have you seen the 2009 Irish film The Eclipse? Most of the time it's a quiet drama about CiarΓ‘n Hinds dealing with love and loss, but it also features some startlingly out-of-nowhere jump scares.
@EricVulgaris I'd guess the "Illuminated Worlds" branding is being imposed on the writers by the publishers. But even if it came from above, reading "Candela Obscura uses the Illuminated Worlds d6 dice pool system" above an exact description of the Blades dice mechanics feels... not good
@WhatDoIKnowJR I feel like I personally also deserve extra points for beginning my role-playing career by forcing my cousins to LARP Star Wars with me as a child. (I was a Trandoshan Jedi.)
@WhatDoIKnowJR My score was tanked by never having seen any animated Star Wars show. π Very cringe of me.
Now, if they were giving points for old PC games that nobody remembers, like the FMV rail shooter Rebel Assault or the grand strategy game Rebellion that came with a 200-page manual...
@WhatDoIKnowJR I feel this very hard. Precision transcription and editing was something I did for a living for a while, and yet the giant glaring typos and unfortunate autocorrects I've managed to not notice...
I once turned in a paper where a paragraph just ended with "[finish this later]".
