@_ChrisLepkowski @cvhdavidblues @rjcroton They were in a well drilled position to step up and play offside and that’s why there was such a gap. It’s not a fine, margin just a poor decision from the linesman especially when he up with play and he was directly in line. Mistake all the same.

@br1cktop81 @JPercyTelegraph And there is the problem. Assists and goals for a CM are poor to say the least. If he is played in a system that means he doesn’t have to run or tackle and he can just distribute the ball he is decent.

@pennwba Life of a West Brom manager, and they know what they are signing up for. I just think we need to be realistic as fans. Years of mispent money and mistakes is why we are where we are unfortunately. We are fishing in the pool of unknowns and leftovers.

As everyone knows they have money to burn. Look at the money they spent on average players last season. It used to be a Man Utd tax. Similar for them now, but fair play I wish we had the freedom to do the same

@pennwba Who says we haven’t made mutiple efforts to sign players? These players will go to who is paying the biggest fee and who is paying the biggest wages. We are way down the list as potential employers for a lot of the players based on our position last season and budget available.

James Morrison’s team-talk to his West Brom players today should be straightforward given frustration and anger at their treatment by the EFL. Even if breaches involve other matters not just community development expenditure (which are disputed), and we await the full written reasons, Albion still have every right to be aggrieved over the short nature of the hearing (two days) when the punishment could impact their season so devastatingly. Two days? Other clubs’ hearings have lasted far longer.

“For now, we will settle this on the pitch,” West Brom say. “For now” signals they reserve the right to appeal depending on reasons/results. For now, they rely on Morrison for survival in the Championship. One point against Ipswich or Sheffield Wednesday away next weekend keeps Albion up. They may be safe anyway, barring Oxford United beating Wednesday at home and Millwall away, Albion losing theirs and a GD swing. During every dark period, clubs need a guiding light. Means he does not have to do all of Mowatts running as well. Two players who can tackle, recover balls and actually drive with the ball gets us further up the field a bit quicker and into more dangerous areas.

That attitude lets down is the paying fans. If you did half a job at work based on that you would be made accountable, probably face disciplinary and eventually be let go. These players get a free ride and a big pay packet regardless

@AliJones9 It’s happened time and time again. I agree that sometimes coaches overly complicate things but if a player isn’t as a minimum putting a shift in and batting for each other that’s on them, no one else. Imagine if you
couldn’t be arsed because you didn’t like your gaffer at work?

@astle1968 Yes, but my concern is when you hear the likes of Wallace and Livermore, (captains)about how strict people were it makes you realise they play when they want to for who they want to. They are mercenaries not professionals and they know they can’t be sacked for their failings.

@snarka Most of these wouldn’t get a game at League 1 level. I understand confidence is a thing and impacts on players but when they can’t do the absolute basics then they don’t deserve to be playing at any level Embarrassing and looks like they have all accepted their fate. I have.
