Sadiq Khan: "Mecca is probably the most diverse place in the world."
That's Mecca, where Muslims of many races gather, but non-Muslims are banned.
Also Sadiq Khan: "Islamophobia is rooted in racism."
There's not even a pretence of honesty or consistency.
According to the World Bank, the UK is the second worst country in the world for solar power. County Durham has got to be one of the worst places in the second worst country for solar. They have lost their minds.
Around 142,000 acres of farmland are currently tied up in approved or proposed solar projects across the UK. Solar panels should be put on roofs and car parks rather than plastered on prime agricultural land. @andyburnham - it’s time to legislate to ban solar panels on prime farmland.
“Dropped the ball” when the Met called Jack Grove and told him not to ask any more questions of Prof Jason Arday because it was harming his mental health?
At this point, Mark Rowley and the police are just woke commissars shutting down a free Press. Disgraceful.
Did you know you don't have to be a British citizen to qualify for Personal Independence Payment (PIP)?
If someone meets the legal residence and immigration requirements they can claim PIP AND brilliantly they can also continue to claim it during a temporary absence abroad for up to 12 weeks.
Curiously the government doesn't publish how many of the 4 million PIP claimants are foreign nationals, nor does it publish how many are paid whilst on 'extended holidays'.
Suck it up taxpayers and don't ask inconvenient questions.
With green subsidies now accounting for three quarters of the price of electricity, the cost of Net Zero to the public is much higher than politicians are willing to admit, say Professor Gordon Hughes and Dr Lee Moroney.

This might be the greatest Community Note of all time.
On Sky News, Harriet Harman floated the idea of Labour banning male candidates from a future leadership contest to guarantee a woman becomes leader.
The irony?
The Community Note points out this would likely be unlawful under the Equality Act 2010, the very legislation Harriet Harman played a leading role in taking through Parliament.
You couldn't make it up.
In March, the Starmer Government announced an official definition of Islamophobia — repackaged as “anti-Muslim hostility” — along with plans to appoint an Islamophobia tsar.
Since then, we have seen that definition weaponised to silence legitimate criticism of Islam, its history and its practices.
Shadow Justice Secretary Nick Timothy was reported to the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, branded an Islamophobe and even faced calls to resign from the then Prime Minister. All because he dared to criticise a public Muslim prayer event in Trafalgar Square.
Reform UK was then reported to the Equality and Human Rights Commission (EHRC) by 28 Labour MPs for allegedly “Islamophobic” comments, simply because it too questioned the appropriateness of the public Muslim prayer event in Trafalgar Square.
Within 45 minutes of the then Secretary of State announcing the definition in the House of Commons, the pro-Gaza MP Iqbal Mohamed called for it to be incorporated into the Nolan Principles of Public Life. Had that happened, MPs could have faced sanctions for raising issues such as the grooming gangs scandal or Islamist extremism in Parliament.
The Free Speech Union also successfully challenged South Wales Police after it introduced its own bespoke definition, instructing officers to record any comment that went beyond “legitimate” discussion of Islam. Following the threat of legal action, the force paused its guidance.
In a free society, no religion should enjoy greater protection than any other or be shielded from legitimate criticism and debate.
Parliament abolished the blasphemy laws in 2008. The last Government effectively revived them — for Islam alone — through the back door.
We still do not know who the Islamophobia tsar will be.
Andy Burnham must abandon these plans and scrap the proposed Islamophobia tsar.
Nigel Farage has hit back at the MSM.
“And if every time the name George Cottrell is mentioned you put the words career criminal next to it…please make sure you do it with Louise Haigh…Jonathan Reynolds you mention that he had a false CV and Angela Rayner never paid her tax.”
This is awful.
What about Wilberforce? What about the West African Squadron? The British did more than any other country to ABOLISH slavery.
Stop virtue-signalling and focus on repairing the crumbling churches, reviving your congregations and providing Christian leadership for this country.
Do your job!
Labour are currently hanging themselves very publicly. They think Spain has the right to deploy the military to defend its border and has the right, under the ECHR, to deport tens of thousands of illegals immediately. Meanwhile their current policy is the exact opposite.
Energy Secretary Miatta Fahnbullah just said she doesn’t accept green levies are making our energy bills more expensive.
Sorry, that is a lie which Amol Rajan should have picked up.
British people have the second highest energy bills in the world because we subsidise green renewables to the tune of billions of pounds.

What BBC eco-evangelist Justin Rowlatt won’t tell you about Britain’s recent forest fires: all were in areas managed by ‘rewilding’ enthusiasts who allow fuel to build up for fires. Excellent Planet Normal interview with @mattwridley by @AllisonPearson https://t.co/271zA1L7iZ
