He mentioned chaplains quite a few times in his letters.

@westyjase@R0Poem By and large the people who served in the two wars have now passed. Their remembrance was largely private. My father's medals remained unopened.
We're now onto 2nd and 3rd generation remembrance. Often things are done more overtly.
Especially since the WW1 100 anniversary.
