Following the sad announcement of the death of Her Majesty the Queen, the bells will be rung fully muffled tomorrow from 12noon as a mark of respect. Rest in Peace, Your Majesty.

The bells will be ringing from approx. 2pm until approx 5pm today for a full peal of Plain Bob Triples for the Patronal festival of St James. If successful, this will also be one of our young ringers’ first peal! #bellringing
As it is Holy Week, we would normally not have a practise however this year there will be a practise but on tied bells using the simulator for sound internally. The bells will next ring open on Easter Sunday #bellringing
Turns out we did have a practise last Tuesday as the visit @barrowbells was rescheduled last minute for this Tuesday so there should be no practise this week if all goes to plan. #bellringing
Practise will be cancelled this week as we are helping out @barrowbells to try and get some new recruits! Sunday service as usual at 09:00 tomorrow. #bellringing
Sunday Service Ringing is cancelled tomorrow due to unavailability of ringers. Practise as usual on Wednesday at 7:30pm and Simulator/beginners at 6:45pm. #bellringing
There will be no ringing tomorrow at St. James’ due to the service being at another Church in the Parish but there will be @daltonbells at 09:30. Ringing as usual on Sunday (26th) - 10:00-10:30. Happy Christmas from all the Barrow ringers! #bellringing

Last night we rang for 150th Anniversary of the Dalton Town Band, the 90th Anniversary of the Barrow Male Voice Choir & the 80th Anniversary of the Ghyll Singers. We had some good Call Changes, G7, PB7 and some fantastically struck S7! #bellringing
