The bells will be rung open (without muffles) tomorrow at 5pm to celebrate the Proclamation of His Majesty King Charles III as King of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth Realms.

Following the sad announcement today of the death of Her Majesty the Queen. The bells will be rung fully muffled at 1pm tomorrow. Rest in Peace, Your Majesty.

Fantastic practise last night, there were over 15 ringers! Thanks to the Kendal & Lancaster ringers for joining us! We rang Plain Bob Major, Yorkshire S Major, Grandsire Triples & Caters, Stedman Triples & Little Bob Royal. We also had a decent attempt at DNCBM too! #bellringing

The bells will be rung between 09:15am and 12:30pm on Saturday 30th April for a full peal (Plain Bob Caters), the first attempt at one in almost 3 years. This peal will be dedicated to Revd. Ruth Crossley on her retirement from the Parish. We hope you all enjoy it! #bellringing

The first Furness & South Lakes District Branch meeting since 2020 will take place at St. Mary’s tomorrow so the bells will be ringing from approx 2:30pm @LancsAssocCR #bellringing

Turns out we did have a practise last Tuesday as the visit @barrowbells was rescheduled last minute for this Tuesday so there should be no practise this week if all goes to plan. #bellringing

The bells will ring half muffled at 12:45 today for the funeral of former bellringer and one time Tower Captain at St. Mary’s, William (Bill) Wall. We will also ring a quarter peal on Sunday in memory of Bill. RIP.
