@lewis_goodall How do you think you can legitimately deprive someone of what they own, because it is delivering what is wanted and has subsequently grown in value? If you own a % of a company, you own the % of whatever it grows into.
@MaitlandBen@PaulEmbery@LiberalSimon Where in any of that does he say that was ok. There's a much larger number of people who are pissed off and have no intention of rioting. Disharmony can take various forms.
@DreyfusJames A young panellist on J Vine today patronised a 94 yr old because he challenged her assertion that the min wage should be ยฃ15. He tried to tell her that life was hard in past with v. high interest rates, but she dismissed him as he had more purchasing power then. Infuriating!
@epkaufm@DAaronovitch David, what were your comments on the racist murder of George Floyd? I don't recall you tweeting regularly on that. Will you say now there was no evidence of racist intent and that it was allowed to be branded as such because few people dared to make the contradiction?
@BasilTheGreat The irony of them saying they make lots of arrests for people being offended and then say watch out, there are thieves round here thet will take your phone! Madness.
@ConorWilson2@OneYorkshireman Seems wrong that men who were forced into combat, that endured a long horrific build up on a landing craft before being flung into what must have felt like hell knowing they would likely die, are not afforded their own tribute. But got to contradict Julia, right?
@Tilda149@JuliaHB1@Keir_Starmer Overshadowed! They were in landing craft travelling towards bullets and mortars and mines, knowing they would probably
die a painful death once that ramp went down. What a shameful way to diminish what they had to face.
@Heccles94 Why would opening a Gail's near a Palestinian cafe be heavy handed aggression. Did this have you genuinely perplexed too? A corner of north London where food has become a battleground in the Israel-Gaza war | Jonathan Liew | The Guardian https://t.co/dUXV1hd1PH
@petermaurice22@donmcgowan The enquiries found evidence of a two tier approach where the perpetrators were not investigated thoroughly because they were a racial minority. It's a very real example of what you called nonsense.
@petermaurice22@donmcgowan On the rape gangs: The 2014 Jay Report into the Rotherham scandal and a 2022 review into the Telford area both confirmed that "nervousness about race" and a desire to preserve "community cohesion" severely hindered the protection of vulnerable young victims.
@thisandtatt A Sikh person has just been convicted of a brutal murder and brazen deception. You're saying you would rather be in a room with 99 decent people and 1 who will stab you to death, than 100 people, of whom, some have opinions you'd find unpleasant.
@LoftusSteve@CreativeDeduct@SarahForRuncorn You can also make people give you the answer you want if you put DEI as a pillar of your organisation and then put out a questionnaire that dares them to defy it.
@DAaronovitch There are multiple charities, organisations and activists that bring these stories to attention. Few in public roles will focus the same when a white person is the victim of another race. Why is that? They dont care? They're scared of breaking from the correct narrative?
