Points for Hemsworth doing a great job as a psychopath—it was cool to see how his real self started to show as the plot progressed, even if you always knew his character was messed up. But a unique theme and a good performance can’t save a failed story. 3/10

Spiderhead was a cool commentary on what you’re putting in your life and how it can control you; that theme was present, but it was muted by a need to be dystopian thriller about dodgy pharmaceuticals. Trying to be edgy made the film a jumbled mess of a plot.

I’m really impressed on how the used confusion in the film; It didn’t feel like Michael bay crowding his shots, it just made me that much more engulfed in the film. My only gripe is that the general story was fairly unoriginal (if still creative in that unoriginality). 8/10.

The Gray Man was honestly much better than I thought. It had exceptional pacing for a genre that’s normally way too slow or way too fast, and although it wasn’t original, it was still creative and felt new. Visually, the choreography and cinematography was stunning; 1/

which just made each hit or shot feel so much more impactful to the viewer. The whole movie was based around this confusion and chaos, which echoed in the plot, until it was resolved in the third act. Coincidentally, the third act choreo had few cuts and was more brutish. 3/

Lightyear was another ~okay~ movie out of 2022. The first 50 minutes were really hard for me to get into, but the second half was exciting (and actually had a pretty captivating plot). The whole movie was also visually stunning. 6/10.
